whoah. we haven't been paying attention. we played an amazingly fun show with The Alcohollys and Wonderjunk in London on the 9th. this weekend we're in Montreal on the 15th and Ottawa on the 16th. Trying to dig up a show in Toronto for August 12 or 13 - any leads? In other news, Roy has been biking, Mandy has been rowing, and Cyn has been trying to find a good dance club that plays sleaze rock & glam. any leads? 2010 was a fantastic year for High Heels Lo Fi. We played Ottawa, Kingston, Burlington, twice in London, and Toronto a whack of times - 16 gigs this year! Plus we finally played at the Bovine Sex Club, a fave venue for rock. We had a great dirty photo shoot at the Velvet Undergound with Self-Reflected.net. We had burlesque girlies on stage with us, twice! We had a hoedown, opened for great bands, and did shots with a zillion great people. Thanks to everyone who comes out to shows and tells the world about Toronto's most hilariously dirty drunk-rock band! Happy New Year! PS - Avoid the New Year Hangover - stick to clear liquor & don't mix beer with anything. Trust us, we're professionals. PPS - I updated the Show Reports. Click Shows, then look for "Show Report". The part of the groom will be played by a vinyl copy of AC/DC's “Back in Black”. Birthdays are a time to take stock of your life, and where you are headed. This year, Cynthia decided that it was time to dedicate her entire life to Rock & Roll. Since becoming the lead singer in a hilarious drunk-rock band, she found her entire world shifting to music, and thought that it was time to make the union official. High Heels Lo Fi has been described as “raunchy, saucy, rock and roll at it's finest” by Toronto music reviewer Lonely Vagabond, and a “local underground power punk sensation" by lipstikindie.com. James Roy Daley, High Heels Lo Fi's drummer, cannot attend due to the "girls-only-weekend” rule in effect. AC/DC's album “Back in Black” was chosen as the groom as it is the most purely Rock & Roll album of all time.
